Special construction features on this custom bike:
- Fully hand-formed, .080 inch thick aluminum body. All body parts on the RADIUS are hand-built.
- Fully integrated handlebars conceal the master cylinder for both front brake and clutch control.
- The swing-arm was altered and widened to provide a symmetrical appearance from the rear.
- Rear axle, primary accent, axle adjuster and fuel valve covers are among the many handcrafted parts designed to match the Arlen Ness radius parts on the motor and transmission.
- Custom-made floorboards and brake levers were engineered to work with foot shift and brake controls.
- Two sets of exhaust pipes were hand fabricated for show-and-go. The set for riding includes heat shields to prevent contact with the rider’s boot.
Special engineering features ensure ease of maintenance on this high performance machine:
- The fuel valve cover located is wired with disconnects for easy service of the fuel valve components.
- The clutch, brake master cylinder and turn signal module can be easily serviced by removing the handle bar rear cover plate.
- The electric speedometer can be accessed by removing 1 screw and 3 weather-tight connectors.
- Maintenance on the main electrical panel, ignition module, oil filter, and circuit breakers can be easily achieved by removing 2 bolts from the bottom of a panel located in front of the rear tire and behind the polished rock guard. The panel is pinned at the top with rubber mounts.
- The oil drain for the tank is located on the right-hand side of the bike between the frame and pod just above the cross member. This ensures the ease of draining oil without dripping any on the bike.
- The wiring harness was built with weather-tight connectors at all major terminal points and junction areas and removal of the entire harness could be accomplished without cutting.
- The only reason you would ever need to remove the body would be to service one of the ignition coils which are located under the fuel tank along with the factory VOES switch for ignition. The fuel line exits the tank from inside the tunnel and the fuel crossover and gas tank vent are at the rear of the tank under the body.
This motorcycle has all the latest technologies available in controls and electronics:
- Electric H-D Speedo and self-canceling factory turn signal module.
- Turn signals and rear lighting are all new technology L.E.D’s.
- Front turn signals are under the hand lever perches.
- Rear lighting is located in 3 areas: right and left pods are tail lights and turn signal units; rear fender light is divided into 3 sections, left and right are turn only and center is taillight and brake light; license plate lighting is also L.E.D. and mounted at the top of the bracket.
- The 4 small holes around the perimeter of the speedo are also L.E.D.’s that indicate lamps, oil pressure, neutral, turn signals and high beam.
- The switches on the handlebars are right and left turn signals, horn and high/low beam headlights with a single wire to latching relay.
- Starter button is located on backside of fuel valve cover and the tripset for the speedometer is on the front.
